Cadastral certificate, what is it?

When you buy or sell a house or when you need to consult the cadastral information of a property, you must request the so-called Cadastral Survey, which allows you to acquire:

  • the identification and income data of real estate (land and buildings)
  • the personal data of the natural or legal persons owning the real estate
  • graphic data of land (maps) and urban real estate units (floor plans)
  • the monographs of the Fiducial Points and the top management of the cadastral network
  • the floor plan (list of subordinates and graphic representation)
  • the cadastral updating deeds.

Requirements

In general, the cadastral information of a property – with the exception of floor plans, reserved exclusively for owners or their delegates – are public; this means that anyone can have access to that information, even non-owners, while still paying the relative special cadastral taxes.
