Residence permit request, what is it?

Foreigners who intend to stay in Italy for more than three months must apply for a residence permit.
Those arriving in Italy for the first time have 8 days to apply for a residence permit.

Residence permit request: how to obtain it?

 

To obtain the issue of the residence permit or renew the 2021 residence permit
it is necessary to present these documents:

  • the application form,
  • a valid passport, or other equivalent travel document, with the relevant entry visa, if required,
  • a photocopy of the document itself,
  • passport-size photos, identical and recent,
  • the documentation necessary for the type of residence permit requested
